Metallic Hardcore Crusters Cynarae To Release S/T 12″ on 6/14 by orlandooom407

A389 Records has stopped it nothing in order to deliver some of the most delicious hardcore (punk) that I’ve heard thus far in 2012. This stands true for Cynarae who plan to release their debut S/T on vinyl come June 14th with A389. Imagine if Cursed never broke up and progressively adapted more down tempo slow downs and included brutal disgust gargled bellows. Each mosh hungry song shares a short handed burst of misanthropy lasting no longer than two and a half minutes each. Cynarae doesn’t skimp on the cap off metallic solos, and they tend to forgo any modern hardcore stereotypes.  This record wouldn’t even be a full length had it not been for the hulking fifteen minute conclusion which reminds me of the track Prey on Brutal Truth’s Sounds of the Animal Kingdom. You can preview some of the tracks now, and I’d highly suggest this go straight to your list of pre-orders if you dig on wax LPs.

Orlando Occupiers ABUSE Release Split With Melbourne Florida’s Arc & Panther by orlandooom407

Orlando’s heavy music scene houses a multitude of metal, punk, hardcore, or what have you. There’s something for everyone, and thus there are bands like ABUSE. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Central Florida’s quintessential quadratic craftsmen on several occasions with the likes of Scale the Summit, Khann, and even Miami grind freaks: Shitstorm. They brandish  a blurred blend of increasingly complex, and furious, punk inspired riffs adhered together with their unifying quadruple vocal harmonies. No (dedicated) singers, who needs those? Their lyrical content creates a verbose antagonism against corporate dominance, human subservience, and pollution (about the ocean). They’re joined by Melbourne Florida’s, central east coast for those unfamiliar, tectonic hardcore trio Arc & Panther. You can hear both sides of the split via the widgets below, and physical copies will soon be available through NorseKorea (norsekorea.com).

ABSU Forced To Cancel Chaos In Tejas Performance by orlandooom407

Breaking news. Absu was forced to cancel their upcoming Chaos in Tejas performance. Here’s the skinny /via Earsplit:

“Mythological occult metal artisans ABSU regretfully announce the cancellation of their set at this weekend’s Chaos In Tejas festivities, where they were confirmed to headline the show at Red 7 this Saturday with support from Terrorism, Loss, Morbosidad, Ares Kingdom and Black Witchery.

Immediately following their bludgeoning performance at the opening night of this year’s sweltering installment of Maryland Deathfest this past Thursday night, ABSU drummer/vocalist Proscriptor had to rush back to Texas due to a knee infection. Following two instantaneous surgeries, Proscriptor will be in good health and back to 110% efficiency by the mid portion of June, but not in time to perform as scheduled on Saturday night.

This cancellation is disheartening to the band for the moment, as they were fully planning on leveling all in earshot at the performance this weekend; however, this procedure will now ensure that the band will be fully operational for the previously mentioned forthcoming ABSU live assaults throughout North and South America, which are being confirmed now to be announced in the weeks just ahead. Stay tuned to be inundated with new information on said events.”
